Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero is Barcelona’s top target for the coming months, and is keen on making the move, according to reports from SPORT.

The Catalan giants are set for a major summer shake-up after an underwhelming 2013/14, with Luis Enrique having been drafted in to replace Tata Martino in the dugout.

The club’s former midfielder is believed to have set his sights on a new attacker, and wants Aguero to complete a fearsome triumvirate including Lionel Messi and Neymar.

Reports suggest that the City forward himself is eager to move to Barca after spending three years at the Etihad Stadium – in which time he’s won the Premier League title twice.

However the Sky Blues are not willing to let their star striker leave.

It is understood that Aguero may have to submit a transfer request to force a deal, and Barca could well actively encourage him to do just that.

City are under now financial pressure to let their man go, but keeping an unhappy player may destabilise the mood in the dressing room.

Manuel Pellegrini could move for Liverpool’s Luis Suarez if he s forced to move Aguero on.
