A Newcastle fan (@Adam_NUFC98) caught a problem with Samir Nasri’s goal against Wigan on Sunday,  stating that it should have been called offside.

The goal was compared to one that was disallowed when Manchester City met Newcastle earlier this season. A City player was clearly standing in an offside position as he was blocking the Wigan keeper’s view when the ball went in. The goal stood however, unlike that of Newcastle’s Cheick Tiote when his goal against City was disallowed for the exact same reason.

But the fact City still lost the game and crashed out of the FA Cup you’d like to think Karma had some part to play here…

I never hear any barcode supporters bleating about the Negredo ‘goal’ that was incorrectly ruled out for offside in the match Etihad
