But they are both players with really generous wages for the amount of games they are playing, and the club has to cut down somewhere. Kolo is almost 33 and his contract expires in June. If he doesn’t reduce his salary expectation, it’d be natural not renewing his contract. Anyway, summer will come and we will see how many of those 11 remain.

For example Kolo Toure has filled in brilliantly for Kompany, why would the club sell him? pretty much the same with Lescott. They are 2nd choice for their respective positions and both have contributed this season when called upon. The only certainty is Nasri. He is no doubt a very talented player but he doesn’t fit our playing style. There will be no fire sale.
