Manchester City target available next summer
The Montenegro international has been long linked with a move away from Florence and now the club’s hierarchy have confessed that they will “evaluate” his situation at the end of the season, which has alerted the Premier League champions.
It was rumoured that Roberto Mancini made an approach for the 23-year-old during the summer, but a move failed to materialise.
However, the club’s director Daniele Prade has conceded that they may not be able to keep their star man beyond next summer, but he did rule out a January sale:
“He’s our top player.” He told Mediaset Premium.
“With him on the pitch we’ve scored 11 goals, without him seven.
“He will remain (here) until June, then in the summer we will evaluate.
“We have ruled out any transfer in January.”
Jovetic is thought of as one of the most promising players in Serie A, with his combination of pace and technique causing problems for defences up and down the division.
His performances have attracted the attention of Juventus as well as Manchester City.
Jovetic moved to Fiorentina in 2008 form Partizan Belgrade following a string of impressive displays.
