PSG plot move for Manchester City flop
The Frenchman has been somewhat of a disappointment since his 2011 switch to the Etihad Stadium form Arsenal, with recent below-par performances seeing him singled out for criticism by manager Roberto Mancini.
This has prompted speculation that he may be allowed to leave the club this summer, with the Italian plotting a radical overhaul of his squad after an underwhelming campaign.
Mega-rich PSG are believed to be highly interested in taking him to Ligue 1, and are reportedly willing to spend £15m in order to so.
But, City are eager to recoup more of the £24m they paid for his signature, and are prepared to hold out in hope that the Parisians will up their offer.
Nasri’s agent has claimed that his client is keen to fight for his place with the Sky Blues, but the chance to return to his home country could sway his stance.
The playmaker has netted just once in 19 Premier League games this season, and has found regular playing time hard to come by due to a series of poor displays.
This has led to criticism from pundits and Mancini on several occasions, in particular when he deflected Robin van Persie’s free-kick into the net during the Manchester derby, whilst appearing to be ducking behind the wall.
