The Montenegro international has been on the Sky Blues’ radar for some time, leading to speculation that a January approach could be in the pipeline.

Roberto Mancini has declared his admiration of the Fiorentina attacker in the past, but Jovetic told Italian TV station Rai Sport that he is fully committed to his current club:

“I’m fine here in every way. We’re playing well and winning games, which is important,” he said.

“At the moment there is no way I will leave Fiorentina,

“Although in the life of a footballer you can never be 100 per cent sure of anything.”

Jovetic is widely regarded as one of the top talents in the Serie A, with his mixture of pace and technique making him a threat to even the tightest of defensive units.

Italian champions Juventus are thought to be keen on the diminutive playmaker and could rival any approach made by the Citizens.

It’s believed that a big money bid may tempt the Florence club to part company with their star man, but an exact figure is yet to be confirmed.

Jovetic arrived in Italy during 2008, following a successful period with Partizan Belgrade.
