Derby youngster Will Hughes, according to reports from The Express.

The England U-21 international has quickly emerged as one of Europe’s top young players thanks to a series of impressive Championship displays for the Rams.

His fine form has not gone unnoticed, with a number of top clubs all thought to be vying for his signature.

United, Liverpool and Barca are thought to be leading the race ahead of potential January moves.

The Reds have already seen an £8m offer for the 18-year-old rejected, but have not been deterred.

United are also keen, with David Moyes thought to be interested in snapping up the highly-rated teenager.

Meanwhile, Barca have emerged as shock candidates after being impressed by his fledgling performances.

Although Hughes is Derby’s star man, manager Steve McClaren has already confessed that the youngster may have to be sold in the not too distant future.

It is expected that winter offers will be lodged, which may convince the second tier side to cash in.

Hughes’ fine displays have seen some compare him with Paul Gascoigne, who is widely hailed as one of the finest technical players England have ever produced.

Is Will Hughes ready to leave Derby?
