The Cottagers find themselves five points adrift of safety heading in to this fixture, but will take confidence in the fact David Moyes’ United have lost four times at home this season and are yet to show any convincing signs that they’re getting used to life after Sir Alex Ferguson.

United need to win to close the gap between themselves and fourth placed Liverpool to seven points, or they may be forced to say goodbye to Champions League football next season.
