Arturo Vidal has agreed to sign a £182,000-per-week contract with Manchester United, according to reports from La Stampa.

The Red Devils have been chasing the Chile international for much of the summer, with Louis van Gaal understood to be desperate to add him to his midfield ranks.

Despite Juventus having set a 6th August deadline on their star’s future, United are said to still be pushing for a deal.

And now it has emerged that the 27-year-old’s agent, Fernando Felicevich, negotiated a £182,000-per-week contract with the Premier League giants earlier this week.

Reports claim that the deal will run for five years, but little is known about a potential fee to be paid to Juve – although there has been talk of £40m+.

Vidal has won three Serie A titles in Turin, yet rumours suggest he’s ready to leave the club this summer.

However senior figures within the Old Lady’s hierarchy and playing squad have rubbished talk that the box-to-box South American will be sold.
