De Gea denies the job is done for Manchester United
The stopper, praised after his performance in the 1-1 draw in the first leg of the continental round, was reluctant to be over-confident when the opponents are the nine-time European champions.
“We are talking about Real Madrid, one of the world’s best. They still have to come to us”, De Gea warned.
However, the 20 year-old saw the draw as a positive outcome of the Bernabeu visit: “It was a good result for us though, one we deserved”, he affirmed.
The former Atletico de Madrid netminder, who displayed a whole recital of goalkeeping against Los Blacos, ended the game pleased in the personal aspect and content with his progression at the club.
“Overall, I am very happy with my performance. I am improving every day at Old Trafford and I am very happy”, De Gea admitted.
United will face Real Madrid in Manchester on March 5 and the Spaniard’s skills could result key, as a clean sheet is all Sir Alex Ferguson’s squad need to get through to the quarter-final round.
