Galatasary midfielder Wesley Sneijder would fancy a move to Manchester United, according to talkSPORT’s Dutch football expert Marcel van der Kraan.

The Dutch midfielder has been heavily linked with Manchester United in the past, but opted to join Turkish giants Galatasary in the last winter transfer window.

But Van der Kraan believes despite Sneijder publicly denying he would be ready to quit, he would prefer the opportunity to show what he can still cut it in a bigger league.

He also claims the 29-year-old is desperate to head into the summer’s World Cup in the form of his life, and believes a move to Old Trafford would give him more of a chance of doing so.

Sneijder has won 96 caps for his country, and has been regarded as one of Europe’s top midfielders of the past decade.

Manchester United boss David Moyes is desperate to strengthen his midfield options in January, after missing out on a host of top targets in the summer.

The likes of Cesc Fabregas, Thiago Alcantara, and Ander Herrera all turned down a move to Old Trafford during the summer, and Moyes knows he is under pressure to secure a big name signing in the January transfer window, and Sneijder would fit the bill.
