With England manager Roy Hodgson set to name his World Cup squad to take to Brazil today, the public had been positively shaking at the thoughts of the inclusion of Manchester United’s Tom Cleverley.

The 24-year-old has had a torrid time this season, with many people using him as a scapegoat for United’s poor form.

But despite the last 12 months, it seemed like Hodgson had maintained his faith in Cleverley’s ability, often picking him despite the wishes of many public.

Following a petition to ban Cleverley from an England call-up three months back, England fans on Twitter have been fearing the possibility of his presence in Brazil.

Luckily, the United midfielder is just on the standby list… just pray for no injuries!
