David Moyes’ first transfer window at Manchester United was very much a fruitless enterprise. For a whole three months of hustle and bustle in the transfer market, the Premier League champions managed to secure one single signing in the form of Marouane Fellaini, and the Belgium international could have left Everton for £5million less if his move to Old Trafford was wrapped up four weeks earlier.
