Since his appointment as Sir Alex Ferguson’s successor at Manchester United, David Moyes’ first season has had its fair share of disappointment.

Although he saw his side run out 3-0 winners against West Brom on Saturday, the United manager still has a lot more to do to try and save his season.

And it appears his desperation for a change in fortune has got him praying for goals, which appeared to work wonders at the Hawthorns.

Before Phil Jones scored United’s first goal, cameras caught Moyes shouting ‘Goal’ just as Van Persie’s free kick met the head of Jones. With the goal coming, he continued to sit as though nothing happened. While others around him cheered, he sat relieved and emotionless…
