Manchester United are watching PSV Eindhoven right-back Santiago Arias, according to reports from Voetbal International.

The Colombian defender has emerged as a fresh target for the Red Devils on the back of a number of impressive displays in the Eredivisie, and is believed to have been drawing attention from scouts at the club.

David Moyes is known to be in the market for additions this summer, with a below par season for the current Premier League champions having led to talk of a massive spend in the coming off-season to get their on-field fortunes back on track.

Although a creative midfielder is seen as the priority at Old Trafford, the Scot is also looking for a new right-back to replace the erratic Rafael.

Arias, 22, is said to be Moyes’ favoured target, with a bid of around his £12m asking price being lined up.

The only issue remains the future of the current United boss.

As it stands, the ex-Everton chief could find his spell at the Theatre of Dreams cut short after one poor campaign, and his successor may be less open to snatching up Arias.

The South American only joined PSV from Sporting Lisbon last year, yet he is thought to open to another big move.
