Marouane Fellaini spent most of the game chasing Lionel Messi as if in slow motion. The difference in speed of foot between the two players was so great that it seemed incredible that the two players were playing the same game. However, Fellaini has his strengths, namely his, er, strength. Such was the physical prowess that the player displayed in winning a header that it very nearly stunned Argentina manager Alejandro Sabella. Perhaps, having watched his ‘golden boy’ Lionel Messi quite literally run rings around Fellaini for much of the match, Sabella was surprised to see the Manchester United player succeed at anything at all. Either way, the Argentinian manager was lucky not to add his own name to the injured list along with Angel di Maria.
