Manchester United are planning a new move for Borussia Dortmund attacker Marco Reus at the end of the season, according to reports from The Metro.

Red Devils manager David Moyes was believed to have been interested in the German ace last summer, but any plans to lure him to the Premier League were shelved after they were told that he wasn’t available.

But this hasn’t deterred the Scot, who has maintained an interest in the versatile forward this season ahead of what looks likely to be a huge transfer window at Old Trafford.

Moyes is desperate to add pace and attacking intent to his side after a woeful campaign, and is said to be willing to dictate £35m of his transfer budget – rumoured to be between £100m-£200m – to get his man.

Although Reus is a key player at Dortmund, there is talk of a possible exit with the Bundesliga club having endured a difficult season.

A move for the 24-year-old would also clear the path for Nani and Ashley Young to leave United, with the two wingers no longer seen as important players at the club.

Reus is able to play on either flank or in a central attacking role, and could form a strong relationship with the likes of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Juan Mata.
