Bayern Munich attacker Thomas Muller has moved to distance himself from rumours of a move to Manchester United this summer.

The German international has emerged as one of prospective Red Devils chief for next season Louis van Gaal’s top targets, with the experienced manager known to be a fan of his abilities.

Speculation of a switch to Old Trafford has been further fuelled of late by suggestions that the 24-year-old is unhappy with his current role at Bayern, where he has flitted in and out of Pep Guardiola’s starting XI this term.

However Muller – who came through the Bavarian club’s youth set-up – says that he is not looking to make a move just yet:

“I didn’t make these rumours up myself, so I don’t particularly want to comment on them too much,” He is quoted by The Metro.

“But I’m definitely not about to jump ship at Bayern,

“That said, I can’t make any guarantees [that I’ll stay at the club] for all time.”

Muller is said to be valued at upwards of £25m, but senior figures at Bayern have spoken out in recent days in protest of the potential sale of the fans’ favourite.
