The Red Devils have been linked with the French playmaker of late as David Moyes looks to step up his transfer plans ahead of the New Year.

A botched summer window saw the Premier League champions miss out on a number of targets and pay an inflated fee to secure a deadline day move for Marouane Fellaini.

Moyes is desperate to avoid the same fate next time around, and is said to be lining up candidates to add greater creativity to his midfield.

Cabella is thought to be near the top of his wish list after a string of impressive displays for the Ligue 1 side.

Although he is one of Montellier’s key men, Fernandez has revealed that a significant offer from United will be too good to refuse:

“He is an intelligent boy who is enjoying a good season.

“Now, if in the winter transfer window Manchester United offer €18m (£15m) as I have read, he must go.

“Although that would kill the team, one cannot refuse an offer like that.”

Montpellier have previously valued Cabella at £100m in a bid to scare off interest.

Should Manchester United move for Remy Cabella?
