Daily Star.

The Brazilian cost the Red Devils upwards of £27m when he arrived at Old Trafford from Porto in 2007 with a reputation as one of European football’s top talents.

Despite showing glimpses of his abilities under former boss Sir Alex Ferguson, the 25-year-old has been a huge disappointment, which has led David Moyes to deem that he is no longer needed at the club.

The Scot is desperate to get rid of his £60,000-per-week salary and free up space in his squad for winter additions.

A source close to the club confirmed that Anderson has no future at United and that he will be sold if there is a respectable offer:

“Anderson isn’t up to the standards required. He just hasn’t fulfiled his potential. If someone makes a decent bid for him in January he will be sold.”

Despite fitness concerns, Everton are believed to be one of a number of sides watching the situation.

The playmaker himself may be keen to move on, with regular first-team football ahead of next summer’s World Cup having the potential to get him back into Brazil’s squad.

Should Manchester United give Anderson another chance? Or is he simply not good enough?
