Manchester United are plotting a mega money January move for Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal, according to reports from The Mirror.

The Chilean international has been earning rave reviews for his displays in Turin since his 2011 arrival, in which time he helped the club claim two Serie A titles.

Although Vidal has already stated his desire to stay with the Old Lady, United are ready to tempt him to Old Trafford with a huge offer.

David Moyes has made a commanding midfielder his main priority for the January window, after witnessing his side’s unimpressive opening 20 games of the Premier League campaign.

The 26-year-old is seen as the ideal man to add some presence to the Red Devils’ engine room, and English champions are set to offer him a lucrative contract to help save their season.

Moyes is expected to have funds at his disposal in the coming weeks, and despite playing down claims that he will spend, the Scot is expected to move for reinforcements.

Everton’s Ross Barkley is also seen as a potential signing, but the Toffees’ reluctance to sell their bombarding youngster may see a deal rendered impossible for this window.
