Manchester United Star Set For New Deal
Manchester United forward Wayne Rooney is set to silence transfer talk by signing a new contract at Old Trafford, according to the Daily Mirror.
Rooney has been heavily linked with a move away from the Red Devils this week after he was left out of the league leader’s Champions League side that lost to Real Madrid on Tuesday night at Old Trafford.
The former Everton man has been in fine form again this season scoring or assisting 20 goals in his last 21 games for United.
Sir Alex Ferguson wants to stamp out any speculation regarding the 27 year olds future by offering him an extension to remain at the club for a further two years added on to the two years that he has remaining on his current deal.
Rooney is expected to sign the new deal as he wants to spend the rest of his career with United.
