Manchester United will reportedly try to offload Antonio Valencia, Nani, Anderson, Javier Hernandez and Anders Lindegaard this summer.

Sir Alex Ferguson is said to be looking to balance the books at Old Trafford following last summer’s huge outlay to take Robin van Persie to the club from Arsenal in a deal worth around £24million plus reported wages of £250,000 per week.

Crystal Palace starlet Wilfried Zaha has already been signed ahead of next season and that has also left the coffers low on funds for Ferguson’s plans for further squad reinforcements when the transfer window re-opens for business at the end of this term.

As a result, Goal.com claims the veteran Scot will look to wield the axe on his current squad in order to generate up to £60million in funds to plough back into the club.

Anderson is already thought to be looking for a new club as he is unhappy with his lack of first-team chances this season, while Lindegaard also hinted last week that his future could lie away from Old Trafford, with David de Gea the first-choice goalkeeper and Asmir Begovic being lined up in the summer.

United would have no trouble offloading Mexican striker Hernandez with Spanish outfit Atletico Madrid thought to be eyeing him up as a replacement for the in-demand Colombian hitman Radamel Falcao.

Nani will not be short of suitors if he decides to depart with Ferguson recently revealing that he cannot guarantee him first-team football.
