Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has refused to rule out a potential move to Manchester United this summer, as reported by the Daily Express.

Vidal is new United boss Louis van Gaal’s number one transfer target this summer and the need for a central midfielder was increased with the news that Michael Carrick is out for up to three months with an ankle injury.

The Chile midfielder is still on holiday after his World Cup excursions, in which his country impressed, so much so that main man Alexis Sanchez has arrived at Arsenal for more than £30million.

Vidal could be the next Chilean on his way to England although the 27-year-old is not thinking too much about that right now.

“I don’t know if my era at Juventus is finished,” said Vidal. “I heard interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United.”

“It is difficult to talk about another great club when you are already in a top level team,” said the midfielder.

“I won three Scudetti in Italy and I respect my teammates. I heard of interest from Real Madrid and Manchester United, but there is someone who deals with those things.”

“Has my era at Juventus finished? I don’t know, I could stay at Juve for life. When I return to Italy I will speak to the Coach and we’ll see what happens.

“Right now all I am thinking about is the remaining seven days of my vacation.”

Van Gaal is not expected to make any new singings until the first team return from their tour of America at the end of this month.
