The Red Devils chief is set to dip into the transfer market this January after enduring a frustrating summer in terms of securing new arrivals.

A deadline day swoop for Marouane Fellaini made sure that Moyes did not enter his first season at Old Trafford without a new signing, but the ex-Everton man did miss out on a number of other targets.

Ander Herrera and Fabio Coentrao were other names on his radar, but deals could not be agreed.

Moyes is desperate to right these wrongs this winter, and is already lining up potential additions.

Candreva is one man to have caught his eye, thanks to a number of impressive Serie A displays.

The 26-year-old has been lauded for his versatility, which sees him able to play all across the midfield.

This has attracted Moyes, who is keen to secure cover for a number of positions.

Candreva could be the ideal man and free up funds for the pursuit of a big name arrival.

Lazio value the Italian international highly, but may be willing to sell for the right price.
