Manchester United are plotting summer raids for Marco Reus and Toni Kroos of Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich respectively, according to reports from The Metro.

The Red Devils smashed the transfer record over the weekend to secure the arrival of Juan Mata from Chelsea, and David Moyes is prepared to open the club’s chequebook once again for the German pair.

The Scot has been on a Europe-wide scouting mission over the course of the past few weeks, and is believed to have highlighted Kroos and Reus as two of his top targets.

Although a need for fresh players is pressing with United’s below par opening half of the season, Moyes is ready to wait until the summer for both.

Kroos is seen as a priority by the club, with the playmaker set to be potentially available at a fraction of his true value with his contract due to enter its final year at the end of the season.

Reus is also a top target, with the winger having established himself as one of Europe’s finest young players in recent years.
