Unless we witness an unprecedented revival in form in the final 13 fixtures of the current campaign, David Moyes looks set to be anointed with the rather unenviable prize of overseeing the worst Premier League title defence in Manchester United‘s incredibly prestigious history.

From a club that has won the Premier League accolade 13 times out of a possible 21 attempts, and comfortably strolled their way to the English crown last season, the Red Devils now find themselves in seventh place with just 41 points under Sir Alex Ferguson’s predecessor.

But it could be worse United fans! And just to prove it, here’s the FIVE worst Premier League title defences in the history of the competition.
