Manchester United Striker Danny Welbeck

Wilfried Zaha, Patrice Evra, Danny Welbeck and Ashley Young took a break from Manchester United‘s nightmare start to the season by enjoying a Jay-Z gig on Thursday, according to the Daily Mail.

All were pictured leaving the concert on Thursday evening, with Danny Welbeck the only one looking capable of raising a smile – possibly due to his Champions League strike on Wednesday.

David Moyes will be hoping his players will return fresh for Saturday’s crucial game away to Sunderland, in which United will be looking to climb into the top half of the table.

United have suffered three Premier League defeats in their last four games, and currently lie in 12th position in the table – with just seven points from a possible 18.

Last weekend saw Moyes’ men humbled at home to West Brom Albion, with the Baggies running out deserved 2-1 winners.

Meanwhile, Ryan Giggs claims it is United’s players who should take the blame for the teams poor start, rather than Moyes.

“I can’t put my finger on what’s happened. We have just not played as well as we can both individually and as a team,” the 39-year-old said.

“We know the quality in the dressing room. We’re the champions so we showed that quality last year and we have to show it again.

“Sir Alex was a great manager and a great influence on the team and the club. You are going to miss someone like that. But I don’t think that is an excuse when individuals aren’t playing as well as they can.

“We are not playing well as a team. We haven’t got injury problems as we have had in the past – there is no excuse.”
