Paul Pogba has ruled out a January return to Manchester United, as he feels  a deep grievance about the way he was treated during his first spell at the club, according to the Independent.

Manchester United boss David Moyes has reportedly targeted a transfer that would see the Frenchman return to Old Trafford to add the quality his midfield has been lacking this season.

Pogba’s contract at Old Trafford was left to run down two years ago, before he went on to join Juventus, with Sir Alex Ferguson reportedly refusing to believe the Frenchman had what it took to play for the first team.

And Pogba has ruled out the possibility of any potential return, citing Ferguson’s continued presence at the club as the reason why.

The efforts made by United to secure Adnan Januzaj’s future with the club offer a striking contrast to the Pogba situation.

Pogba was given just 67 minutes of Premier League football by Ferguson at the same age as Januazaj during the 2011-12 campaign.

The former United boss was also supposedly unimpressed by the player’s agent, Mino Raiola, who was said to have made unreasonable wage demands for a teenager.

Pogba went on to accept a lucrative contract at Juventus, and has matured into a top player under coach Antonio Conte.

Now a full French international, Pogba is expected to play a significant role for Didier Deschamps’ side at this summer’s World Cup.

Moyes was there to see Pogba play during Juventus’s 4-1 win over Cagliari on Sunday, but despite the scouting mission it seems Pogba is set to stay in Turin.
