It’s not really Fergie’s style to have an out and out defensive midfielder, but the United roster is currently lacking in a bit of fight with Darren Fletcher still battling with his serious bowel condition.
In the past they had Roy Keane, and perhaps Marouane Fellaini is in some ways the modern day equivalent.
He’s dirty, confrontational, physical and hard in the tackle, but the Belgian international also knows were the net is, scoring 11 goals in 23 appearances this season.
Furthermore, his prowess in the air alone would help the Red Devils out for attacking and defending set pieces.
The Everton man’s predicted price tag of £30million however may prove to be a stumbling block.
