Manchester United manager David Moyes is confident the club can still attract the biggest names in Europe, despite not being able to offer Champions League football next season, reports talkSPORT.

Moyes watched his United side crash out of the Champions League last night, losing 3-1 on the night to Bayern Munich and 4-2 on aggregate.

The result means United are set to miss out on the Champions League for the first time in 18 years, with them currently occupying seventh place in the Premier League, seven points outside the top four with five games to play.

However, Moyes remains confident he can attract big names to the club during the summer.

“The club has never had any problem [attracting players]. They’ve always been looking to spend the right money on the right players if they’re available,” Moyes said following the defeat.

“It has nothing to do with Champions League football and any players we’ve sort of quietly discussed with are more than happy to join Manchester United.

“The ones who we quietly have had a word in their ear have all been keen to come because they know it’s a short thing [not being in the Champions League].

“It’s not a long thing and they’re all very keen to join such a great club.”
