United to dangle Hernandez carrot for possible transfer
Sir Alex Ferguson hopes to tempt La Liga champions Real Madrid into selling some of their players by using Javier Hernandez as bait, according to the Daily Star.
Hernandez has been reduced to a bit-part role at Manchester United since the summer arrival of Robin Van-Persie from Arsenal and it is thought his Old Trafford days are now numbered.
Reports in Spain have linked Real Madrid manager Jose Mourinho with a move for the 24-year-old Mexican international, but Sir Alex won’t sanction a move unless at least one of Real’s stars is included in the deal.
Defenders Raul Albiol and Raphael Varane have been linked with a move to United in the past, while Kaka has always been on Ferguson’s wish list.
The Premier League side may also try and tempt Sergio Ramos away from the Bernabeu and are keeping a close eye on his current problems with Mourinho.
