Uruguayan open to Manchester United move
Galatasaray goalkeeper Fernando Muslera has opened the door to a move to Manchester United, by declaring that it’s his “dream” to play in the Premier League.
The Red Devils are rumoured to be shopping for a new goalkeeper this January, with manager Sir Alex Ferguson growing frustrated by David de Gea’s performances.
Muslera has been outlined as a target, with rumours circulating that the club are preparing a £10m bid.
The Uruguayan international is believed to be open to a move to Old Trafford and declared that it would be a “dream” to play football in England:
“The Premier League is my childhood dream,” he is quoted by The Metro via Haberturk.
“I always want to move forward in football. I started off with Wanderers, then Nacional, then Lazio and then, a step forward, Galatasaray.”
United have been linked with a number of goalkeeping options in recent weeks, with Fergie keen to cement his team’s position at the top of the table
Despite leading the way domestically, United have shipped a staggering 29 goals this term, an issue they are keen to address.
Stoke’s Asmir Begovic has been linked with a move to the club, as has Liverpool stopper Pepe Reina, who has endured a tough start to the season.
