Manchester United's Robin van Persie

Robin van Persie is hungry for more titles after helping Manchester United secure Premier League glory.

The Dutchman moved to Old Trafford from Arsenal last summer, having managed just one trophy in his time with the Gunners, the 2005 FA Cup.

Van Persie’s only other trophy came with Dutch outfit Feyenoord, with whom he won the now re-branded UEFA Cup in 2002, and the forward admits this year’s Premier League title has left him desperate to secure more silverware.

“From now on this is our new standard and we want to be champions every year,” said the 29-year-old. “We want to win more. You could tell from day one that everyone wanted this and we did well.”

He added: “It makes me even more hungry. I want to win it again and win more stuff – the FA Cup, Champions League, League Cup – I want to win it all. It is a great first step but I want more. It tastes lovely.”
