I lost track of the number of times I found myself shouting at the tv when Carrick passed backwards last season. Yes his pass accuracy was very high – bit he was involved in very few goals, I’m sure the stats will back me up when I say he is passing forward a lot more now. I personally think the purchase of Kagawa (who actually said in an interview we don’t pass forward enough) and early season form of Anderson has given him the kick up the backside he desperately needed.
