Tottenham and Newcastle are both monitoring Celtic’s Fraser Forster ahead of the summer transfer window, according to reports from the Daily Star.

Both clubs may well be in need a of a new goalkeeper in a few months’ time, and have been attracted to the Bhoys ace who has forced his way into England’s senior side in recent times.

Forster is widely being tipped to make the trip to the World Cup later this year as cover for Joe Hart and has long been linked with a move across the border after a decent spell with Celtic.

Tottenham and Newcastle are both in the running and could launch raids for the 26-year-old.

The Magpies let Forster leave in 2012 after he failed to make the first-team grade, but are now looking to bring him back with Tim Krul rumoured to be ready to move on.

Celtic are likely to demand around three times the £2.2m fee that took him to Glasgow, which may prove to be a stumbling block.

Tottenham meanwhile may also be looking for a fresh ‘keeper, with Hugo Lloris said to be ready to move on in search of Champions League football.
