Reports in Germany say that Bayern Munich are monitoring Newcastle full back Mathieu Debuchy ahead of a possible summer move, writes talkSPORT.

Pep Guardiola is in the market for a new right back, with Rafinha looking the weak link in the Bayern Munich side, and the Spaniard preferring to use Phillip Lahm in a midfield role.

The France star arrived at Newcastle in January 2013, with a solid reputation around Europe after a series of strong performance at international level and for former club Lille.

He has been a consistent performer for the Magpies since his switch, having become a virtual ever-present under Alan Pardew.

However, the lure of playing for what many consider the best team in world football right now may well prove too tempting for Debuchy to turn down in the summer.

The Frenchman – who won a league and cup double during his time with Lille – is under contract until 2018, and is valued at around £7.5million.

However Newcastle know that should Bayern come calling with their Champions League money, it will prove very tough to hold onto the Frenchman.
