Newcastle ace set for further scans
The Frenchman was stretchered off during Newcastle’s defeat to Wigan at the DW Stadium.
“He has had one scan and is going to have another scan next week.” Derek Llambias told Sky Sports News.
“He was here earlier but he is now at home relaxing.”
The challenge has caused outrage throughout the country.
But news that the Football Association have decided to take no further action against Mcmanaman has left Newcastle furious.
Dave Whelan has come out in McManaman’s defence and described the youngsters challenge as fair.
Whelan’s own career was ended by a similar challenge as he competed for a bouncing ball and broke his leg.
With one of the officials seeing McManaman’s challenge, the FA can not take any more action as it is against their rules.
Newcastle may now seek legal action.
When Llambias was questioned further about the extent of Haidara’s injury, he said it was too soon to say.
