Newcastle are ready to sell Papiss Cisse next month if an interested party meet their £10m valuation, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Senegalese forward has been a peripheral figure at St James’ Park this term after suffering a dramatic dip in form.

Cisse was heralded as one of the Premier League’s top strikers shortly after his arrival at the club from Freiburg, notching 13 goals in his first 12 appearances.

However, he went off of the boil last term, and has now been axed fro the club’s starting XI in favour of on-loan star Loic Remy.

As a result, Alan Pardew is ready to sell his front-man, but only if his £10m price tag is met.

Cisse is wanted by Russian duo Anzhi Makhachkala and Rubin Kazan, and could be tempted by the vast salaries offered by such clubs.

Newcastle could use the potential fee to lodge a formal offer for Dutch hit-man Luuk De Jong, who is believed to a January target.

The North East side are also keen to make Remy’s temporary switch a permanent one at the end of the season.
