Jim and George I did say at the end of the article that if Cabaye stays then top 6 next season is achievable. Surely that is a positive. Jim I do plan to have a much needed break. I have chosen to go to South Wales to watch the Swansea v Newcastle on Saturday. I am sure I won’t be all doom and gloom after that….

Pardew/Carr are building a team around him,they have just signed his best mate in Mathiew Debuchey (anyone with a season ticket at SJP will know Cabay will put the ball on debuchey foot from 30 yards without even looking). Also the addition of Sissoko and Papiss hitting form along with the return of Ben Arfa we have a greta team. I think Ashley will replace Ba in the summer with either Aubameyang, Ricky Van Wolfswinkle or Bony – We wont see many more bodies through the door in the summer but we have already just spent 18m in January. I also heard a rumour Cabaye has a £34m release clause, not many other then Chelsea, Barcelona, PSG or Man City would pay that.
