Premier League target urged to join Juventus
Fiorentina attacker Stevan Jovetic has been urged to snub Premier League interest in favour of joining Juventus, by international team-mate Mirko Vucinic.
The Montenegro star has been heavily linked with moves to both Manchester City and Arsenal in recent times, with the duo impressed by his Serie A performances this term.
But, they may face competition from Juve, who are said to have made an official approach for his signature last summer.
The Turin club are reportedly still interested, and could return with a fresh bid at the end of the campaign.
Vucinic, who currently plays for the Old Lady, hopes that Jovetic will snub Premier League attention to join him at Juventus:
“Jovetic and I play close together in the national side and we often switch positions with each other. I’d like to do that at Juve as he is a fellow countryman and is a really strong player.” He is quoted by talkSPORT via Tuttusport.
“However, there is Beppe Marotta and Fabio Paratici here who work on transfers, it is up to them to decide.”
Vucinic has himself been linked with a move away from Northern Italy in recent times, with Manchester United rumoured to be monitoring his situation.
But, the 29-year-old insisted that he is not interested in making a move, and is very happy at Juventus:
“My future? I don’t look at it. I live one day at a time, but I’m happy in Turin. England? I’m not interested.”
