PSG star open to Premier League switch
Paris Saint-Germain defender Mamadou Sahkho has opened the door for a move to the Premier League, by declaring that he is willing to leave the French capital.
It is believed that the club are willing to sell the centre-back this summer to free up space in their squad, as they look to attract the very best players in the world to Ligue 1.
Sakho himself is also prepared to move on in search of regular football, as he looks to force himself into the French squad ahead of the 2014 World Cup:
“I have to look around. If I can not play at PSG, I will do it somewhere else.” He is quoted by talkSPORT via calciomercato.
“I do not want to miss the train for the World Cup 2014.”
Newcastle were linked with a move for Sakho during January, as Alan Pardew prepared for Fabricio Coloccini’s departure.
The Argentine stayed at the club, but is set to leave over the summer meaning that Pardew will have to search for alternatives.
Liverpool are also in the hunt, with a central defender thought to be high on their list of targets ahead of the next transfer window.
Meanwhile Arsenal could make a move, with manager Arsene Wenger believed to be in the market for a solid centre-half.
