Redknapp to return for Capoue if QPR stay up
The Super Hoops attempted a deadline day raid for the Frenchman, but his employers refused to sell after losing Moussa Sissoko to Newcastle.
However, they could be tempted to accept a summer bid for the 24-year-old, who is widely regarded as one of the top stars in his home nation.
Both Tottenham and Arsenal are rumoured to be interested in the player, but Redknapp says he will consider making another offer, so long as QPR avoid the drop:
“I tried to sign Capoue in January,” he is quoted by The Metro.
“I was looking for a player to control the game. It’s hard at the last minute to attract players.
“If we maintain our Premier League status then he would be a good option.”
Staying in the top flight is a big ask for the Loftus Road side, who, after their weekend defeat to Aston Villa, are seven points adrift of safety.
‘Arry is also thought to be keen to tie up a permanent deal for on-loan winger Andros Townsend and is considering a move for Chamois Niortais defender Mehdi Khalis.
