Reading looking to gazump Liverpool in transfer pursuit
Reading manager Brian McDermott is set to gazump Liverpool in his bid for Blackpool youngster Thomas Ince, according to the Daily Mirror.
Reading thrashed League One outfit Sheffield United in the FA Cup yesterday and McDermott’s team continue to pick up wins despite the long serving boss admitting that he his squad is not experienced enough.
A lack of pace has been one criticism of Reading this season but the attacking prowess of Ince would certainly dismiss that, although it is reported that the Premier League new boys will have to pay at least £8million for the England under 21 international.
Liverpool have been consistently linked with Ince this winter and Brendan Rodgers has admitted that he needs to add new faces to his squad in order to push for a top four place, however Blackpool have stopped taking calls from the Merseyside club after they offered just £4.5million for the winger.

Why would he want to go to Reading? Not a cat in hells chance. The reason Blackpool don’t want him to go to Liverpool is that they would have to give part of the fee back because of the sell on clauses.
