Tony Pulis is poised to make a late transfer window raid on Crystal Palace for Mile Jedinak, according to the Mirror.

The 28-year-old Australian caught Pulis’ eye in Stoke‘s recent FA Cup meetings with the Eagles and is now ready to launch a £2.5 million bid to snare him before the transfer widow closes.

He has forged a reputation as a tough, tackling midfield general during his time Selhurst Park and the Potters chief views him as the perfect foil to play alongside Charlie Adam and Steven N’Zonzi.

Pulis is determined to clear the dead wood from his squad this month in preparation for a summer of rebuilding and is hoping to offload Wilson Palacios following a poor two-year spell at the Britannia Stadium.

Jedinak’s contract has just 18-months left to run and Palace boss Ian Holloway could consider cashing in, although he is in no rush to sell after pocketing £15m from Wilfried Zaha’s transfer to Manchester United.
Hollway views the Sydney-born midfielder as an integral part of the clubs promotion push and Stoke will hope that a deal can be agreed within the next 72-hours.
Reports also suggest that Dougie Freedman wants to reacquaint with him at Bolton after bringing him to English football in 2011 from Turkish side Gençlerbirliği.
