The Dutch striker has already earned his first International cap while making a name for himself in Portugal with Sporting Lisbon. Despite only spending one season in Primera Liga the youngster, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, has drawn the attention of a number of Premier League sides. It remains to be seen how genuine a potential move to one of the top four sides actually is but links with Sunderland would appear to be move likely given the fledgling nature of his aspiring career. Not only would he offer attacking versatility to the Black Cats’ lacklustre front line but his signature would illustrate that the Mackems mean business this summer.
