Swansea City captain Ashley Williams is reportedly on the move to Queens Park Rangers in a £4million move, according to Daily Mail.

The 29-year-old  is set to be a free agent following the conclusion of the 2014-15 season, and Swansea would prefer to cash-in now before losing him for nothing next summer.

The move makes sense for QPR, as the R’s will be moving up to the Premier League following their play-off final victory over Derby County, and are hoping to avoid being relegated next season.

Williams will help shore up the centre of QPR’s defence and should fit in nicely next to current captain Clint Hill.

Last week, BBC reported that Williams was being courted by both Arsenal and Liverpool but Swansea had yet to receive any offers for the defender.
