Laudrup claims Michu is not for sale
Swansea manager Michael Laudrup has warned any interested parties that midfielder Michu is not for sale.
Michu has been in fine form since his £2m summer arrival from Rayo Vallecano, notching ten goals during an impressive opening to the season fro the Swans.
Laudrup has hit out at reports his star performer may be leaving in January, insisting that only a crazy offer will tempt the club:
“I don’t want to let him go, sometimes the offer can be so big you have to accept but I really don’t think clubs are going to pay so much money for him,” he is quoted by The Guardian.
The Danish coach pointed toward the £15m deal that saw Joe Allen depart the Liberty Stadium during the last transfer window and suggested that Michu is worth twice that figure:
“We have the example of what Liverpool paid for Joe Allen, if they have to pay double for Michu there are few clubs who could afford that.
“Joe went to Liverpool and you know more or less what they paid for him, but a guy who has scored many goals must be worth a lot more, so you work out the figures.
“I don’t think anyone will come with that money so he will stay here.”
