Chelsea over two legs.

The Swans claimed a 0-0 draw last night, which was enough to see them guarantee a trip to Wembley to face Bradford City thanks to their 2-0 win at Stamford Bridge in the first leg.

It will be the South Wales club’s first ever appearance in a major final, and Laudrup was delighted with the performance of his players:

“Over two legs we just beat the European champions from last season, not conceding even one goal. I think it is absolutely fantastic.” He told Sky Sports.

“It was a game that I expected. There were moments when we had possession and moments when they had it. There were moments when we had to defend deep because of their quality and moments of counter attacking.

“But actually I think we came very well into the game and had the first two chances.

“It was very nice and that gave me the confidence and belief that we were on the right track because we started so well.”

Chelsea’s Eden Hazard received a red card late on after appearing to kick a Swansea ballboy whilst attempting to keep play moving.

Laudrup saw the incident from a distance and believes that the Belgian will be embarrassed by his actions:

“I saw it from a very big distance from the bench. I’ve since seen it after the game. Hazard is a great player. When he sees the images I think he will regret it.”

Goals from Michu and Danny Graham, both the result of Bransilav Ivanovic errors, in the first leg settled the tie.
