Premier League clubs really need to start taking notice of Iago Aspas. The Celta Vigo forward has been one of the stars of La Liga this season, proving that he was far too good for the Segunda last year and far too good for the Galician club this campaign.
Aspas has been linked with Swansea in recent weeks, but it would be criminal for him to go unnoticed by clubs further up the table. If the Spanish forward does eventually arrive in the Premier League — and that’s an if, as Atletico Madrid are said to be watching him closely too — he’d make an impact similar to that of Michu.
He’s a different player than the current Swansea forward, but Aspas is equally or even more talented and just as explosive in the final third. At 25, Aspas, who can play a number of roles in the forward line, would be a fantastic signing for many Premier League clubs.
